i spent too much time in books as a child: going up & down stairs, in the car, at most meals - my parents performed midnight raids to confirm i was not in fact reading by flashlight (i usually was).

concurrently i attended a school with an arts program, where regular plays confirmed my suspicion that acting was basically mainlining reading.

i haven’t successfully shaken it since.
